Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) rooted in the science of compassion, mindfulness, and acceptance.

Our Practice

Hanover CBT was originally founded to provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) across the lifespan. The term CBT identifies a family of therapies that aim to alleviate and prevent human suffering. As we evolved to better meet the needs of the community, we have added educational services to our existing therapy practice.

It is most accurate to describe our approach as Evidence-Based Therapy or Process-Based Therapy, which focuses on “human psychological prosperity and the thriving of whole persons, not merely psychopathology” because “behavioral and mental health is ultimately about health” (Hayes & Hofmann, 2017).

Our philosophy extends beyond diagnostic labels and is grounded in a deep respect for the whole person. We seek to assist individuals in cultivating awareness, wisdom, and courage in every aspect of their lives while meeting each interaction with compassion, presence, and integrity.

We utilize the most current science available to guide treatment, utilizing an active approach that is both flexible and creative to meet the unique needs of each person.
