Adults

We work with adults experiencing a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and social challenges in living. Each step of the therapeutic process is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique situation. We utilize a whole-person approach to understanding and cultivating each individual’s health starting with presence, connection, and non-judgment in the therapeutic relationship, and continuing with a thorough assessment of history, values, goals, and present-day barriers to build a more fulfilling life. In this work, we often find it useful to communicate with loved ones and outside providers to increase support and thereby increase the chance for meaningful change.

College-Aged/Young Adults

Young adults and college-aged individuals are in a unique phase of life, singular to their developmental needs and experiences. This can be an exciting time of adventure and expanding responsibilities. However, it is also very common for young adults to struggle with anxiety, depression, homesickness, insomnia, stress, relationship issues, time management, party culture, body-image concerns, or substance abuse. Young adults can seek help to learn new ways of relating to these challenges while increasing resilience and independence.

However, many young adults never seek help, believing they should handle issues on their own. Normal daily stress can build up, creating disruptions in daily life. We help clients free themselves of the strain and build self-assuredness and healthy self-image. Mindfulness and acceptance-based CBTs also teach strong problem-solving skills that will benefit young adults throughout their life.
