Biography
Marylee Verdi, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Marylee Verdi is a psychiatric nurse practitioner dedicated to integrative mental health care that connects mind, body, and community. She is dual certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with APRN/RN licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont. Marylee completed her Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health training at the University of New Hampshire, an M.S. in Nursing at George Washington University, and a B.S. in Nursing at Georgetown University.
Her practice weaves together evidence-based prescribing, psychoneuroimmunology, and whole-person assessment to understand how physical and mental health interact. She considers the ways immune function, chronic illness, sleep, nutrition, and stress biology shape mood, anxiety, and cognition, and she works with clients to address these connections through thoughtful medication management paired with lifestyle and behavioral strategies.
Collaboration is at the heart of her work. Marylee integrates psychiatric care with counseling and behavioral health services, working closely with therapists to align medication management with psychotherapeutic goals. She emphasizes trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, and she partners with clients in shared decision-making, using measurement-based tools to guide treatment and foster empowerment.
Beyond her clinical practice, Marylee is an active author and scholar. She has written on the role of dual-certified APRNs in advancing holistic care and coauthored research exploring the connections between allergy, immunology, patient safety, and mental health. Her publications inform her clinical focus on the overlap between physical health and psychological well-being, and her commitment to delivering care that is comprehensive, collaborative, and patient-centered.
