Tenzin Miller-Dorjee earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England in August 2026. He completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, where he received advanced training in integrated care, behavioral medicine, and brief, evidence-based treatments within interdisciplinary medical settings. He previously trained at the White River Junction VA Medical Center, where his experiences further shaped his commitment to health psychology and to working collaboratively with clients and providers to support whole-person care. His dissertation focused on patient experience and cultural competence in integrated primary care.

Tenzin's clinical interests center on the connection between physical and mental health. He has experience supporting individuals navigating chronic pain, insomnia, disordered eating, health behavior change, and the emotional impact of medical and life stressors. His background also includes psychological assessment for transplant candidates and cognitive assessment in both medical and outpatient settings. Tenzin is particularly interested in helping clients find practical, sustainable ways to cope while also making sense of the broader personal, relational, and cultural contexts that shape their well-being. He is also drawn to working with children and adolescents, appreciating the opportunity to connect with them in a way that is fun, effective, and mutually enriching.

A meaningful part of Tenzin’s professional development has been his work with veterans in VA healthcare systems. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the complexities of trauma, identity, medical concerns, and life transitions, and have reinforced his commitment to providing thoughtful, respectful, and collaborative care. He is also passionate about minority mental health and strives to create a therapeutic environment that is culturally responsive, affirming, and attentive to the impact of marginalization and systemic barriers.

Tenzin’s approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and relational cultural perspectives. He aims to provide care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, tailored to each client’s individual needs, values, and goals. He views therapy as a collaborative process, one that can support insight, build resilience, and create space for meaningful, lasting change.
