Headshot of Dr. Lisa Foley, therapist at Hanover CBT

Clinical Psychologist & Assessment Clinician

Dr. Lisa Foley is a clinical psychologist licensed in New Hampshire and Utah. She has specialized training and experience working with children, adolescents, and their families across a range of developmental, behavioral, and emotional concerns. Her clinical interests include working with children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral concerns, and the intersection of physical and mental health through a health psychology lens. She also enjoys working with parents and caregivers to strengthen parent-child communication, support positive family dynamics, and develop practical skills that promote meaningful change within the family system.

Prior to joining Hanover CBT, Dr. Foley conducted neuropsychological evaluations at Great Lakes Neurobehavioral Center in Minnesota and served as faculty at the University of Utah, where she was a Program Specialist for a youth partial hospitalization day treatment program. She earned her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her PsyD in Child & Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship in Pediatric Health Psychology and Neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Foley utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also drawing from other research-supported interventions such as parent training and social skills training. Her background in neuropsychological evaluation further informs her understanding of each child’s unique cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental strengths and areas of growth.

Dr. Foley strives to create a warm and inviting environment where children and families feel heard, understood, and supported. She views treatment as a collaborative process and partners with families to improve child functioning, strengthen relationships, and help children develop the skills they need to thrive.
